I believe the foundation for a supportive therapeutic relationship is to be truly heard.
For some, stepping into therapy is the first time they’ve experienced being heard, wholly, genuinely, and comprehensively. We live in an overly stimulated, world, even while we hide from a virus. The amount of content we engage with on a daily basis has most people overloaded and unfocused. Which means, most of the time, most of us aren’t truly listened to.
The initial experience of being heard, can have a profound effect on one’s life. That is where we will begin. In a space with empathic listening, with acceptance and without judgement.
Therapeutically, I work with a gentle, understanding, and compassionate approach, while also creating fun and leaving space for playfulness in the space. I welcome the creative, intelligent mind to feel free to be.
